MATT & WILDMAN

BORN TO ADVENTURE

MATT & WILDMAN

From the moment Matt and Damo teamed up in 2017 it has been one big adventure after another. From hosting a 6 part Discovery Channel Docuseries filmed across the globe to Animal Planet Special Features, various appearances in Films, on Netflix and Australian Television, to producing Tourism Campaigns in the NT and beyond.

Matt, Damo and their team build every production from the ground up. Planning, location scouting, filming, photography and editing.. you name it, they do it.

Consistent and reliable, individually, these 2 possess passion, drive and leadership rarely seen. Together, their work ethic and professionalism deliver high quality results every time.

From little things, big things grow..

The first adventure for Matt & Damo had one objective. Just go film stuff.

Unbeknown to them, this would become the foundation for something much bigger.

Having never worked together, the two were unsure of what to expect. But as the day went on and the wildlife kept rolling in, their shared passion for adventure forged the early bonds of the strong friendship and promising career ahead.

The 'Mary River Croctease' was all the proof they needed their combined skills and interests could produce some impressive results.

A Legend is Born

With Damo guiding tours in Central Australia and Matt running his Production Company in Darwin, the two had been apart for 12 months but were still churning out quality content when they got someones attention.. someone big.

Discovery Channel had entered the building.

Matt and Damo were offered the opportunity to host a 6 part Docuseries filmed across the globe, which also aired as a Special Feature on Animal Planet before landing on free to air TV in Australia.

This was huge, and they put everything they had into the task. Working long hours in dangerous and remote locations, they spent every spare moment learning all the ins and outs of production on a global scale.

Learning all they could about location scouting, camera angles, scriptwriting, researching wildlife, ecosystems and more, they used the experience to finely tune their skills as visual storytellers.

Just a tease

This tasty little teaser is a slice of what's to come.

We've been working on 'Beasts of the Billabong' for a while and there's still plenty of work to do, but a production of this size requires a lot of time and effort and can't be rushed.

Think Big.

Stay tuned.

Keeping it Real

One of the most impressive skills these guys possess is the ability to create informative, engaging, high quality content from real situations.

This video shot at the infamous Cahills Crossing is a great example.

Using two DSLR cameras and a GoPro, the two used a 'run and gun' approach. Reacting to the action in real time, the shots and dialogue had to be on point because we wouldn't get a chance for a second take.

While we enjoy all manner of projects, this is where we have the most fun.

Cinematic Beauty

When it comes to nature, capturing the pure essence of its beauty takes a whole different set of skills.

Cinematic filmmaking requires a combination of filming techniques including drone work, time-lapses, slow motion and clever angles to tell the story.

Meticulous planning, choosing the right locations, knowing the capabilities of our equipment and a whole lot of patience are the things that make the final product shine.

Versatility on Show

Matt and Damo are capable of producing just about any style of content you could ask for. Even hosting a weekly segment for a mainstream local news show.

The ideas, script, planning, filming and editing for this segment were all done in house and with fantastic results.
