The story of MKH VisualAspect
A dream turned into reality
The contrast between these two images represents ten years of chasing a passion for filmmaking and photography. The first five years were child’s play, travelling the world, working in remote locations, experimenting, and discovering what truly inspired him.
Since 2011, Matt has lived in environments that have fueled his creativity. He honed his storytelling skills, studied composition to understand how images best tell a story, and mastered the technical side of his equipment to achieve the best results.
In March 2017, Matt Hoffmann turned his vision into reality by founding his production company, MKH VisualAspect, based in Darwin, Northern Territory.
Completely self-taught and always with a camera in hand, he has grown the business into a full-capability production company, capturing content from both ground and air and developing the skills to take on any project.
Matt’s dedication has opened doors to work with companies such as the Discovery Channel, Hit and Run Productions, Tourism Australia, Entegra Signature Structures, Crocosaurus Cove, Spectacular Jumping Crocodiles, Swimming Australia, Australian Olympic Committee, Pacific Helicopters, AirNorth, ComfortDelGro Australia, AAA-LUX, Northern Australia Biosecurity Strategy (NABS), Tieman Tankers, Duroquip, TTi, Airport Development Group (ADG), Rangers Valley, Acacia Land Management, Australian Brahman Breeders Association, LiveCorp, and many more.
What started as a dream has clearly become a reality.
Hard work pays off
In 2019, Matt had the opportunity to work with the Discovery Channel on a six-episode docu-series, Legends of the Wild, co-hosting alongside the Wildman, Damian Duffy.
The series took them to remote locations around the world, helping local communities uncover and solve wildlife mysteries.
Legends of the Wild is now airing in multiple countries worldwide.

Filming adventures is where it all began, but capturing wildlife, landscapes, and chasing storms has always been the driving force.
Over the past four years, Matt has explored multiple genres, gaining experience and knowledge that continually enhance his skill set. He contributes to every project while always returning to what he does best: ADVENTURE.

From Passion to Production Powerhouse
The past three years have marked a defining shift, from mastering the craft to mastering the business.
Being a strong cameraman, drone pilot, and editor laid the foundation. But building a production company required something deeper: structure, consistency, leadership, and vision. It meant stepping into the role of production manager, understanding contracts, deliverables, timelines, logistics, and what it truly takes to operate a reliable media machine.
The focus shifted. Less attention on social media presence, more attention on meaningful contracts that drive long-term growth.
A major turning point came through the agricultural sector, with a partnership with one of Australia’s leading shed-structure companies, Entegra Signature Structures. Over three years of consistent collaboration, MKH VisualAspect built a comprehensive content archive that documented projects across the country and strengthened Entegra’s digital presence.
That partnership opened doors to many of Australia’s top 100 agricultural companies, expanding MKH VA’s footprint across the industry and creating opportunities for powerful, story-driven content far beyond a single niche.
This period reinforced two critical truths:
First, MKH VA can deliver across a wide range of complex and demanding briefs.
Second, the greatest impact comes from long-term partnerships with organisations that have clear direction and ambition.
Working alongside established companies, contributing to their growth through strategic visual storytelling, and seeing measurable results, that’s where the real value lies.
That’s the work that builds something lasting.
That’s the work that matters.

A recent milestone perfectly represents this next chapter.
Contracted by Pacific Helicopters, a Papua New Guinea–based aviation operator serving the Asia-Pacific region since 1975, MKH VisualAspect was entrusted to produce a flagship film celebrating the company’s 50th Anniversary.
Operating in demanding environments across the Asia-Pacific region, the production required adaptability, efficiency, and the ability to capture real moments as they unfolded. Following the successful delivery of a comprehensive content suite, Pacific Helicopters officially appointed MKH VA as its primary content creator.
